A 9 year-old boy Zierno from Senegal was transferred to Sejong General Hospital with The Better World's help, an International Development NGO. This little boy was diagnosed with mitral regurgitation by cardiologist in Sejong General Hospital. He was severely suffering from symptoms of infection and his dysfunctional mitral valve. A group of pediatric cardiologists drew a surgery plan for Zierno and they successfully repaired his mitral valve.

Moreover, Sejong General Hospital pleasantly organized a variety medical training programs for Senegalese surgeons, Dr. Dipo Momar Sokhna S Khoya and Dr. Sene Biram Etienne Joseph. These two surgeons had a clinical training about not only cardiology but Sejong General Hospital's advanced hospital system. They said 'As long as we stays in Sejong General Hospital, we will focus on training ourselves to fully understand Sejong General Hospital's theory and practice of cardiac surgeries, specially Sejong General Hospital’s pediatric cardiology.' It is expected that this medical exchange program builds a firm cooperative relationship between Korea and Senegal and across the African Continent.
