The Catholic University of Korea, Seoul St.Mary's Hospital gets over difficulties caused by geographical issues when it comes to seeing international patients. Their answer is Information & Communication Technology (ICT) combined with distant monitoring system. Urologist Ji-Yeol Lee and his team members have built a consortium with 6 different organizations and 5 hospitals to deal with this advanced system. In Korea, Seoul St.Mary's Hospital already has the most increasing numbers of overseas patients. Also, the patients from the Middle East have been visiting Seoul St.Mary's Hospital to cure their severe illness. While communicating with them, Seoul St.Mary's Hospital found a big motive for building 'Smart After-Care Service' that is able to keep tracking the patients staying over the world. Now, the consortium is testing the system's safety and searching its positive effect.
