Kyung Hee University Hospital at Gangdong organized a medical volunteer team and assigned them to Nepali earthquake damage. In October, 2015, the team joined the local NGO, Phect NEPAL Kathmandu Model Hospital and was staying in Sindhupalchowk. They built a camp to meet Nepali patients who suffered from earthquake trauma. The team was hardworking from early morning to late night to take care of them. In total, a thousand patients met these Korean doctors. Also, a medical program to treat posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) was organized and run for children and adults residing in the damaged villages. The head of the volunteer team, professor Jong-Woo Bae said that 'The patients were in a serious environment that would highly cause secondary infection due to harmful foreign substances from deconstructed buildings. We focused on treating young children, pregnant women, and aged people and we will not stop supporting them.'
