Samsung Medical Center's medical volunteer team 'Heart To Heart Ⅱ', organized with several competitive surgeons, visited Mongolia from September 29th to October 3rd, 2015. Since 2013, both Samsung Electronics and Samsung Medical Center joined the Heart To Heart Ⅱ Project and have helped children in Central Asia. The Heart To Heart Ⅱ Project focused on treating children in Mongolia and Kazakhstan, where there are now developing countries. Previously, Heart To Heart Ⅰ Project was successful in Vietnam from 2003 to 2010. It was their first that the team visited Mongolia in order to perform cardiac surgeries for Mongolian children. They performed 7 heart surgeries, 6 cardiac interventional procedures, and 7 general surgical cases. In total, it was 20 cases. Professor Tae-Gook Jeon, who was in charge of the heart surgery, said that 'Mongolia needs medical support desperately. Next year, our team will invite a group of Mongolian surgeons and let them have medical training in Samsung Medical Center. That will help them be capable to perform heart surgeries and nursing at the same time with their own knowledge.'
