Hanyang University Hospital holds opening ceremony for TrueBeam STx Treatment Center

On November 13, Hanyang University Hospital held the opening ceremony for the TrueBeam STx Treatment Center, which is equipped with state-of-the-art radiation therapy equipment.

TrueBeam STx, which is referred to as dream cancer treatment equipment, was introduced to the TrueBeam STx Treatment Center and has been in operation since November 1. TrueBeam STx is equipped with the entire range of therapeutic technologies including not only general radiotherapy but also intensity-modulated radiotherapy, image-guided radiotherapy, respiratory synchronized radiotherapy and somatic stereotactic radiotherapy, which enable it to achieve excellent results in the treatment of stomach, liver, lung and breast cancers.

In particular, it has built-in HyperArc technology for non-invasive surgery on multiple brain metastatic cancers including head and neck tumors, thereby reducing the radiation dose to normal tissues, minimizing the risk of side effects and maximizing the treatment effects.
