From 19 to 25 March, Pusan National University Hospital’s medical team, Prof. Yongchan Bae, Prof. Sunghwan Bae, and Heejeong Jeong nurse, treated 50 local patients in Hue, Vietnam and 20 cleft lip and palate patients of them were performed a free surgical operation. In Korea, many cleft lip and palate infant patient has received surgery soon after birth, but Vietnamese usually hard to handle the surgery costs of congenital facial disfigurements. Prof. Yongchan Bae, who is a member of the Korean medical volunteer corps named In-Ji-Hoe visits Vietnam, Laos and Myanmar every year, where they provide volunteer medical services and makes a donation.
