Establishing an accurate and efficient clinical environment, improving the ability to detect small lesions
Chung-Ang University Health Care System Hyundae Hospital (Hospital Director Kim Boo-seop) announced the full-scale operation of the newly introduced nuclear medicine imaging equipment, 'NM830 (gamma camera),' marking a first for Namyangju, at the opening ceremony of its nuclear medicine laboratory on the 7th.
The ceremony was attended by approximately 50 staff and employees, including Hospital Director Kim Boo-seop and Medical Center Director Kim Sung-deok. It featured △a progress report by Professor Lee Kang-hyeok of the Department of Radiology, △a welcoming speech by Hospital Director Kim Boo-seop, △a ribbon-cutting ceremony, △a photo session, and △a tour of the nuclear medicine laboratory.
The NM830 (gamma camera), introduced this year, enables testing with a small number of isotopes and, thanks to the application of new technology, has seen a sensitivity improvement of over 25%, enhancing its ability to detect small lesions. Furthermore, it can represent the shape and function of internal organs with excellent image quality, enabling accurate and swift diagnosis.
Hospital Director Kim Boo-seop stated, "With the introduction of this new equipment and the opening of the nuclear medicine laboratory, patients can now undergo precision tests in a safer and more comfortable environment. By operating nuclear medicine diagnostic equipment using the same model as university hospitals for the first time in Namyangju, we can also take multidisciplinary medical cooperation among various departments to the next level."
