Nanoori Hospital Began Foreign Language Education for Staff

Nanoori Hospital, which is specialized in spine and joint surgeries, push itself harder to support better service for international patients. One of their plans is teaching the staff how to communicate with foreign patients. The two branches of Nanoori Hospital, Nanoori Seoul Hospital and Nanoori Incheon Hospital, has begun foreign language education since January 11th 2015. There are English, Russian, and Mongolian classes lectured by international coordinators in Nanoori Hospital. The students were critical manpower who has a direct encounter with patients like nurses, radiogical technologists, and physical therapists. Each language class starts at 6:30 pm once a week and lasts about one hour. Head Nurse Keum-Suk, Heo said that 'I encouraged the nurses in my ward to take the language course as it is very helpful for ward nurses who meet foreign patients every second.”
