Seoul National University Bundang Hospital and Severance Hospital start a medical business in Moscow

Seoul National University Bundang Hospital will operate a 300-bed general hospital within the Moscow’s Skolkovo International Medical Cluster. They have signed a MOU with the Moscow city to promote the project successfully. The signed members are Seoul National University Bundang Hospital, Moscow International Medical Cluster and Tashir Group.Severance Hospital, meanwhile, has signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a Korean-style health examination center for VVIP in Russia Lotte Hotel with Russian healthcare company JSC Medsi Group, a Sistema portfolio company and the Russian Direct Investment Fund. The Sistema is investing in various fields such as finance, information and communication, energy, pharmaceuticals and medical care. It owns the Medsi Hospital group (which has 39 medical institutions) leading the private healthcare sector in Russia. 'After this visit, Korea's leading hospitals have begun to advance their business into Moscow, the center of Russia,” said the Minister of Health and Welfare, Republic of Korea. 'This project will provide the first large-scale example of the two countries' interaction in the field of medicine and will contribute to improving the quality of life of the population of Russia,' he added.
