  • Introduction

    Ewha Womans University Medical Center, which has been leading Korean women’s medicine since the establishment of ‘Pogoonyogoan’, has opened Ewha Womans University Seoul Hospital with 1,014 beds in Magok District in Gangseo-gu, Seoul. It is the first university hospital in Korea designed to have three-person standard rooms and single-person intensive care units which allow us to provide a comfortable environment for patients while reducing the risk of infection.
    Ewha Womans University Seoul Hospital has enhanced convenience of patients by separating the flow of patients’ traffic from medical staffs’, connecting to Balsan Station on Subway Line 5 and providing convenience facilities as well as providing a center-based medical care system including cardio-cerebrovascular center, cancer center, organ transplantation center, joint-spine center, and gastroenterology-hepatology center. ‘Healing Garden’, a green space in the hospital, and ‘Art Cube’, an exhibition space, have been also installed to provide emotional stability and healing to the patients. In addition, Ewha Womans University Seoul Hospital has applied a smart mobile platform as well as GE Healthcare’s clinical integrated situation room and Olympus’ operating room integrated system ‘Smart Operating Room’, which enables rapid and accurate treatment through the real-time data sharing of critical and emergency patients in the hospital. We have a future-oriented medical environment that provides a safe and comfortable optimal care environment for patients. We will also create a high-quality medical culture with you in which patients are safe and respected, based on our excellent medical staff, state-of-the-art facilities, and a fast and convenient care system.

    Thyroid Center - Operates a one-step thyroid nodule clinic that performs ultrasound and, if necessary, fine needle examination on the day of outpatient treatment


    Shoulder Disease Center - Through consultation with an orthopedic surgeon specializing in shoulder and the latest imaging equipment, we present a personalized treatment plan tailored to each patient's symptoms, age, and disease condition, and, if necessary, perform one-stop ultrasound diagnosis and injection treatment on the day of treatment.
