A 39-year old Tulyubaeva from Kazakhstan used to suffer from congenital liver cirrhosis and the symptoms like jaundice and skin irritation made her quit her job in the post office. Her life was saved after her liver was successfully transplanted by Dr. Lee, Kwang-Woong, of Seoul National Univ. Hospital. His operation skills were watched by all the medical staffs in Astana Civil Hospital. As Korea is one of the top countries where the success rate recorded 100% in 2014 and the operation time normally takes around 6 hours, that is very shorter than other countries. Generally, the surgery is being performed for 12~17 hours.
The team of Dr. Lee met the chief of health office, Kimovna in Astana City to suggest building a liver transplant center in Astana City. Chief, Kimovna's answer was posive.
