This attainment proves that Sejong Hospital is where to perform safe left atrial appendage occlusion procedure.
The Watchman and ACP are to be placed on left atrial by being inserted from femoral vein, in other words, they are a percutaneous approach.
Not to mention its 97% of success rate, it was found that these two devices decrease complications after the percutaneous left atrial appendage occlusion as similar as the US and Europe do.
With 4 years of tracking observation, the group of patients who had the occlusion surgery in Sejong Hospital, showed lower chances to have cerebral infarction, embolism, and even cardiovascular disease-induced death.
